Single Serve Cafe Au Lait? Let's celebrate New Orleans!

Congrats to the New Orleans Saints for a long-awaited SuperBowl Victory!

Coffeewiz staff was abuzz with the excitement of yesterday's game, and Super Bowl partying.

Maybe we can shed some light on a little fun you can have with single-serve!

To celebrate the New Orleans win, here's an easy recipe of the famous French Quarter coffeehouse brew, Cafe Au Lait. You can make this with single serve coffee.

The Cafe Au Lait equation is pretty simple -

Cafe Au Lait = 1/2 cup hot coffee + 1/2 cup hot milk

And even if you have never tasted a beignet from the famous French Quarter Cafe Du Monde, maybe this easy single serve cafe au lait coffee recipe will capture some of the fun the city is celebration right now with Mardis Gras in the city of New Orleans.

Maybe you have a preference - you can make the coffee lighter- add more milk or darker- add less milk. Do you like your coffee weaker? Just add hot water.

If you have a Tassimo Home Brewer, you can have a little French Quarter Fun with this recipe:

Tassimo Cafe Au Lait Recipe

1 Gevalia Latte T-Disc
1 Gevalia Signature Blend T-Discs

Brew the Coffee T-disc first, so that the Latte blends with the coffee, rather than the visual layer effect of Tassimo Cappuccino. The lighter blend is more similar to a Cafe Au Lait.

The Starbucks Latte Primo T-Discs is a rich and creamy representation of Cafe Au Lait, without all the fuss, and just the push of a button.

For our Keurig Fans
Emeril's Original K-Cups are a nice option and a real authentic flavor of the Big Easy.

Since the Original French Quarter Roast Coffee K-Cups is a dark roast, with heated milk (if you don't have a steamer!), you can customize your coffee experience by adding more or less.

We hope you enjoy - please share your comments and suggestions with us -

Congratulations New Orleans!
